Are images uploaded?

No. Images are processed only in your current browser.

Can I use this on a phone?

Yes. Modern mobile browsers can select photos from your library.

Is HEIC supported?

Not yet. Export the photo as JPG first.

What is the batch limit?

Up to 20 images, 25MB each and 150MB total.

Why is location metadata removed?

Re-encoding removes EXIF and GPS data by default.

Are failed files saved?

No. Refreshing, leaving or clearing the page removes the session.

Why can a target size be unreachable?

Image content, format and safe dimension limits constrain compression.

Why can PNG be larger than JPG?

PNG is lossless and supports transparency; photos are often larger than JPG.

What happens to PNG transparency in JPG?

Transparent areas use your chosen background, white by default.
